As for determining our projected sales, we have contacted several restaurants and sports bars/Pubs in the area to determine average daily customers. So far, we have gotten a response from two: In-N-Out and Ruby’s Diner. Both restaurants have similar menu’s we plan to use, and we like the atmosphere they create.

What we learned was that both restaurants plan to serve at least 75%-85% of their maximum seating capacity in transactions. The average amount spent per transaction was about $26 for a group of four. This represented dine in only and not drive thru sales. In the case of In-N-Out, it did not include merchandise transactions.

We will update this post to reflect the participation of the other restaurants.

  1. It is very interesting to see actual figures, not to mention helpful. In-N-Out is an excellent source because they are very well-known for superior customer service and employee treatment. I know that you guys also mentioned ticket and merchandise sales, so keep us updated in those areas as well.

  2. It is great to see actual figures, really helps me understand the product/service a lot better. It would be great to see the figures for a non-burger place like a Hooters or Benihanas.

  3. How similar are the menus going to be with incorporating the two comparisons? I thought Halo was creating original menu of its own? But it also great to have the information to compare the possible sales of the future company with other burger joints.

  4. Reaching out to local restaurants is a smart choice. This will help your company estimate the possible traffic that could come through your business.
