To drive the start-up of the business we plan to marketing heavily using promotions and a penetration price strategy.  Since we think that consumers do not want to spend too much on food and having an idea of the average cost from our competitors.

Some of our promotion ideas are:

-Special prices on food during the grand opening time period
-The 100th customer will receive a free Angel game ticket
-Drawings to receive prices and discounts

Having a relative low cost to the consumers we want to earn the first impression of a value that we can deliver to our customers.

Our placing of the business would be preferably one block from the stadium, and we estimate our competitors within 2-3 miles radius from the Angel Stadium.  The business would be between the 5 freeway and the Stadium on State College Bvld.  It would be the most optimal place since the main entrance to the Stadium is on State  College Blvd. we want to place the convenience of our business so our customers can turn right in, eat then drive right out to the Stadium which is next door.

  1. Promotions is a good start. How about advertising? Also did you think of any longterm strategy? Your location is a competitive advantage. How about your food and services?

  2. Promotion is appealing as it can trigger customers' attention. But large budget is requred to carry those plans, and your business has to take longer time to break even. Anyhow, I believe your business will be competitive in the market.

  3. Promotion strategies sound great, especially the 100th customer winning tickets. This sure attracts more and more people as the word goes around about your restaurant. As far as the location goes that sounds perfect as we discussed in class how important location is to attract customers

  4. Being a block from the stadium is a great advantage, if costumers see it when they drive to the stadium, they will most likely stop. You should make sure you have good signs and are heavily visible so consumers know that you are there. Maybe you could give out coupons with first time purchases so customers are compelled to go back.

  6. That is a great location for your company, gives you easy access to Angels stadium while being a convenient location for people to visit. I was wondering, are you interested in some promotions which involve meeting players/getting tours of the stadium?

  7. Another promotion idea can be a drawing to win free tickets. Also, parking might be a big consideration too. A lot of fans get stuck in traffic, which should be considered when choosing the location of your store.

  10. Another promotion idea is to offer a discount on the team's products for fans. For example: jerseys, cups, beer hats, etc.

  11. Locating your business near the free way entrance gives you competitive advantage to your competitors. One concern would be the parking lot. Maybe you guys can offer food and drinks like Sonics. So people can just eat, enjoy and be on their way to the game.

  13. The promotion ideas that you have posted sound like great idea to help your business succeed. If customers feel they are getting a good value and have a good chance at getting free tickets or merchandise, it will add to the experience and loyalty when going to Angels homes games. Having the location close to the stadium as you stated will also increase business due to driving by the restaurant and making a last minute decision to eat before or after the game. It was also a great idea to have your location be on the right corner before the stadium for maximum accessibility both to the restaurant and the stadium entrance.
